The Cherry (Latin name Prunus) is a red colored fleshy fruit. It is native to the northern hemisphere, with Europe accounting for over two-thirds of cherry production worldwide. The main species of cherry cultivated throughout the world are wild cherry (Prunus Avium) and sour cherry (Prunus Cerasus).
