White tea comes from the buds and younger leaves of the plant which are lightly processed to avoid oxidation and fermentation. This procedure helps in protecting the high content of Polyphenols, a phytonutrient responsible for the health benefits of white tea however if you are comparing the price of white tea vs green tea this is the cause of why white tea is more expensive on average than its tea siblings.
